The Ctenanthe Burle-Marxii or Fishbone Prayer plant are super cute with their fishbone pattern foliage, these are nice and very healthy looking. They are native to Central and South America (primarily Brasil) and these species are commonly called just Burle Marxii after the discoverer.
The Burle Marxii have elongated, rectangular shaped leaves with a striking herringbone pattern on the top side of the leaf and a beautiful purple on the underside. They make fantastic under bedding plants because of their low growing habit.

These guys like bright, indirect light if you give them too much light the leaves could fade, so would also work well in a slightly shaded spot. Depending on your household environment water once the soil is a little dry, I normally water every 7-10 days in Summer...But always check if your plant needs watering first. Remember to adjust the watering for the different seasons. Like most houseplants humidity is important. If you don't have a humidifier, mist your Ctenanthe 1-2 times a day.
